New York City is the most densely populated city in the United States, with 29,302.66 people per square mile. Therefore, it takes a lot more effort to create a safe society to protect such a large number of lives.

Those efforts are shown through physical public signs, symbols, posters, and more (PERCEPTION). They set rules for people in specific areas to follow, using straightforward words and eye-catching design choices (WARNING).

Subconsciously, people are constantly reminded of the possible dangers and are advised to follow rules due to the physical signs we observe in the city (FEAR). Therefore, we feel fear, which surrounds us although we may not have noticed until we realize it.
